The ACS Scholars Program is open to African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and American Indian students who are graduating high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores or juniors intending to or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically related science.
The Gates Scholarshipis a highly selective, full scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors. Maureen L. and Howard Blitman, P.E. Scholarship- Applicant must be a high school senior who is a member of an underrepresented ethnic minority (African-American, Hispanic, or Native American) who has been accepted into an ABET-accredited engineering program at a four-year college or university.
Xerox Technical Minority Scholarships- These awards range in amount from $1,000 to $10,000. You must have a GPA of 3.0, be a U. S. citizen or permanent resident, and belong to one of the following ethnic groups: African-American, Asian, Pacific Islander, Native American, Native Alaskan, or Hispanic. Here is the list of accepted degree programs: Chemistry or physics, Engineering in one of the following fields: chemical, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, imaging, computer, optical, or software, Computing & software systems, Information management or printing management science, Material science, and Laser optics.
