The Association for Women in Mathematics(AWM) and Math for America are co-sponsoring an essay contest for biographies of contemporary women mathematicians and statisticians in academic, industrial, and government careers. The essays will be based primarily on an interview with a woman currently working in a mathematical sciences career. At least one winning submission will be chosen from each category.
The Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 scholarships to extraordinary young people, 18 and under, who have completed a significant piece of work. Application categories are Mathematics, Science, Literature, Music, Technology, Philosophy and Outside the Box.
TheLeo W. and Alberta V. Thomas Utz Scholarshipprovides three awards annually to three top students (one in each of the following areas - Math, Science, and English.) The amount of the scholarship is $4,000 per year for four (4) years each pending academic review and fund performance. The students must maintain a 3.25 GPA annually. When applying for this scholarship be sure to write on the application form which scholarship area you are applying to.
TheSTEM Scholarship from NextStepU is open to students who are interested in pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) major. Applicant must be 16-22 years old at the time of entry and be a registered user of NextStepU.com
The Supporting STEM Scholarship is open to incoming and current college students who have at least a 3.0 GPA and is/will be majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) field of study.
The UNCF STEM Scholars Program is open to high school seniors who are African-American/Black, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and plan to study a STEM field in college, including Biological/life sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Sciences, Engineering, or Mathematics. Applicant must have demonstrated financial and unmet need as measured by the student’s college or university.
