Anna M. Vincent Scholarship awards high performing students with financial need. For residents of Philadelphia or the surrounding five county Philadelphia area. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $5,000 and are renewable for up to five years.
The Albert Einstein Medical Center School of Nursing in Philadelphia’s Alumni Association provides scholarships to students demonstrating financial need in the pursuit of a nursing degree, whether baccalaureate, graduate, or postgraduate.
The Beech Scholarship Fund (BCS) is in honor of Dr. Bernard C. Watson, John C. Haas, F. Otto Haas, Floyd W. Alston, and Robert W. Smith. Annually, BCS awards a $1,000 scholarship to deserving, minority students of color. The scholarship will be awarded to qualifying and deserving high school seniors entering Temple University, Cheyney University, Lincoln University, or Community College of Philadelphia as a full-time freshman; or, be a current full-time student at one of the four colleges for the fall 2019 academic year.
Congressional Black Caucus Scholarship available to applicants who live in or attend school in the congressional district of a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.
The Connelly Foundation Scholarship at Georgetown University is available for students who attend any Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. All students who are applying to Georgetown for admissions and financial aid from any Catholic high school, Archdiocesan or private, may apply to be considered for the Connelly Scholarship, which will provide up to $25,000 per year in funding. This scholarship is only open to students who attended Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
CORE AmeriCorps Success Ambassadors(CASA) is our public service fellowship for college students. The purpose of this AmeriCorps Community Fellows program is to address compelling community needs in the areas of college access and success, while encouraging college students to be actively engaged within their communities as civically-minded citizens.
CORE Promise Scholarships to high school seniors from household at or below 200% of the poverty guideline to help pay first-year college expenses (including living expenses and books). Applicants must be a graduate of a School District of Philadelphia public, charter, archdiocese, or private high school and planning to pursue an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree at a participating college or university.
The Crouthamel Family Nursing Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors and returning college students in the Philadelphia area in Pennsylvania, who are entering or studying in an associate's degree nursing program, a nursing diploma program, or a BSN program.
Through the Drexel Liberty Scholars program, Drexel provides 50 recent Philadelphia high school graduates with a renewable scholarship award that covers 100 percent of tuition and fees. Additionally, the program fosters student success through a dedicated faculty or staff mentor, a learning community in which all scholars live during their freshman year, extracurricular and developmental programming, and active engagement with campus life. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, reside in the Philadelphia city limits, and come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The scholarship is open to all freshman applicants in all majors as long as it is an on-campus, full-time, undergraduate program.
Horatio Alger State Scholarship- The program specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders.
Recipients of the “Herb it Forward” Scholarship Program come together to comprise our HIFF student community. The HIF scholarship is given to students who despite extreme challenges in their past are hardworking, motivated and driven to make a difference in their communities. The Imagine America High School Scholarshipis an award-winning scholarship program offered by the Imagine America Foundation. The scholarship is for high school seniors or recent graduates planning to attend a career school participating in the Imagine America High School Scholarship Program.
The Maguire Foundation provides last dollar scholarship support to up to five students in each institution’s incoming freshman class for four years of matriculation. Maguire Scholars are selected by their respective institutions, and must remain in good academic standing (3.0), be an active participant in school and/or community volunteer extra-curricular activities, and have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $0 – $25,000.
The Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling offers the PACAC Scholarship to high school seniors graduating from PACAC member schools, with the goal of supporting Pennsylvania students in their post-secondary educational goals. Selection criteria: academic performance, financial need & commitment to cultural and intellectual diversity, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, at least one member of the secondary school counseling office must be a current PACAC Member.
The Philadelphia City Scholarship Program awards approximately 50 college scholarships to high school seniors each year. Scholarship awards are $1,000 for each academic year for four consecutive years of full-time enrollment in accredited, four-year bachelor degree programs.
Phillyseeds Scholarship Program for students who · are residents of PHA public housing or a scattered site, a PHA housing choice voucher resident, or receive subsidized rent through a PHA partner household (verified by the lease), such as PAPMC, AME or a RAD site, for at least one (1) year.
A Samuel A. Green Scholar is a graduating high school senior in the Greater Philadelphia or Lehigh Valley area that demonstrates leadership potential and a fierce commitment to making a substantial impact in their community.
Villanova University provides St. Martin de Porres Grants to serve the University’s goal of attracting a richly diverse and talented population of undergraduate students. St. Martin de Porres Grants are valued at full tuition and general fees. Grant recipients are from the greater Philadelphia area and are from the most underrepresented groups in undergraduate education, including (but not limited to) members of underrepresented racial and ethnic populations, students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and students from families in which few or no members have attended college. To be eligible for consideration, students must have exemplary high school records, correspondingly high SAT or ACT scores, leadership roles, and active involvement through service to the community. The greater Philadelphia area is defined as Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania; Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem Counties in New Jersey; and New Castle County in Delaware.
The Urban League of Philadelphia awards multiple scholarships to Philadelphia high-school seniors attending post-secondary institutions. These scholarships are intended to supplement funding for deserving scholars. Applicant must be a graduating senior attending a Philadelphia High School.
The Urquhart Memorial Foundation- Applicant must be an African American resident of the city of Philadelphia, have been accepted into a 4 yr college or university in PA for the following Fall, have a 2.5 GPA, prove you are financially deserving, and have been involved in extracurricular activity and/or community service.
The Villanova Presidential Scholarship is a renewable, merit-based award covering full tuition, room, board, general fee, and the cost of textbooks for eight consecutive semesters. Representing diverse intellectual, social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds, Presidential Scholars are transformational leaders both on and off campus who have demonstrated a love of learning and a commitment to enhancing both their local and broader civic communities. In order to be considered for the Presidential Scholarship, students must first be nominated by the chief academic officer of their high school (principal, president, headmaster), secondary school counselor, or an official school designee.
