Penn State Abington: Book Assemblage Art Explore a new, inventive way of creating art! Book assemblage art, which involves using 2-D and 3-D art on pages of a book, allows you to create your very own, unique book! This course is designed to help inspire you with learning new and different art techniques you might not have experienced yet. Techniques included (but not limited to) are assemblage, painting, drawing, printmaking, and origami. We will be utilizing a variety of materials such as fabric, wallpaper, yarn, paint, feathers, and found objects. Become a digital artist and join us for this hands-on interactive camp where students will spend their day learning and creating using computers, cameras and programs. Students will immerse themselves in the world of digital media. The primary focus of this camp will be the basics of Photoshop for beginners and intermediate users. Penn State Abington: Multimedia Design Join us as we explore the two major visual design programs: Basic HTML coding and graphics manipulation! Using free web programs and GIMP graphics software (similar to Photoshop), you can build your own website and manipulate photos from the web and from your own digital camera. You can learn HTML basics and CSS coding and then progress to more advanced web page coding that explores interactive ways to add photos and media to your posted web pages. Also, you will have the opportunity to create a short film using green screen technology and iMovie editing tools. Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Summer High School Intensive High School One-Week Intensive Courses offer teens the valuable opportunity to develop and hone their skills under the guidance of stellar PAFA faculty. Open to students having completed 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grades by Summer 2018. All levels welcome. Optional Residential Services available for an additional fee for courses through August 3. Intensive courses run Monday - Friday (unless otherwise noted), 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., with a daily one-hour lunch break. Select courses may utilize nude models -- please review course descriptions.
