Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Summer High School Intensive High School One-Week Intensive Courses offer teens the valuable opportunity to develop and hone their skills under the guidance of stellar PAFA faculty. Open to students having completed 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grades by Summer 2018. All levels welcome. Optional Residential Services available for an additional fee for courses through August 3. Intensive courses run Monday - Friday (unless otherwise noted), 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., with a daily one-hour lunch break. Select courses may utilize nude models -- please review course descriptions. Courses may also include walking field trips to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and/or other museums/galleries. Scholarships available!
Philadelphia Young Playwrights: Advanced Playwriting Join a community of like-minded writers in grades 8 - 12 interested in exploring playwriting and theater-making. During weekly workshops, we'll take you through a step by step process to write and/or revise your own new play! Workshops will cover a variety of approaches and will be tailored to where each writer is at in their playwriting process. In between workshops, the instructors will be virtually available to writers who wish to receive feedback or additional support as they continue to write. You'll have the opportunity to work on a play in the company of peers and fellow writers, with the resources of Young Playwrights at your fingertips! Reduced tuition available.
Philly CAM Media After School Program (Year-round) Make media that matters. Learn how to communicate your thoughts and ideas by using video and audio to create high-quality content for multiple platforms. Join our supportive and collaborative environment for youth media makers! If you are an awesome youth, between 14-21 years old, you are eligible to be part of Reel Skills, PhillyCAM’s after school youth program. We provide access to equipment and other professional tools that help Philly youth to explore various forms of media to examine and tell their own stories through their own lens. Project Write UPenn In collaboration with Independence National Historical Park, the Philadelphia Writing Project welcomes students who desire to write, explore history, and develop digital and artistic talent. Each summer, students participate in a two-week workshop where they explore the power of language in the city where our nation began. Scholarships are available.
Temple University:Tyler School of Art Pre-College Summer Workshops Pre-College students experience the exhilaration and prestige of being among other artists on a college campus of a major University. Experienced instructors are practicing professional artists with a wealth of knowledge. High school students entering grades 9 through 12 are invited to attend. A series of two-week workshops, students can choose to attend 1, 2 or 3 sessions! Students participate in two classes each session, choosing an AM and a PM class from the many Drawing, Painting, Craft, and Digital offerings.

University of Pennsylvania Summer Art/Architecture Program The University of Pennsylvania’s School of design presents an unparalleled four-week intensive studio art program.
