Advance College Experience (ACE) Get a head start on college with Community College of Philadelphia’s summer ACE (Advanced College Experience) program. An opportunity that you will never forget, ACE provides college-level courses for highly motivated students going into 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades, as well as students up to age 21 pursuing a GED. We accept public, private, charter, archdiocesan and home-schooled students. Meeting students from diverse backgrounds, getting a jump on college with the possibility of earning college credits, exploring career interests and using your creative talents are some of the many reasons we think you should talk to your teachers, friends and family about registering for ACE. The ACE program offers a cross-section of intensive courses and includes a full semester of course material from July 10 – August 8, 2018. Courses meet Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 1 to 4:30 p.m. Three ACE courses are offered online. Courses require hard work, dedication to the task and most of all, a desire to learn new and exciting academic skills. You can take two ACE courses, however, please be aware that this is a lot of work. Deadline: Rolling
Drexel University Summer Courses for High School Students Drexel's summer academic programs are summer camps open to highly motivated high school students who wish to explore what a university-level program is all about. Workshops are led by Drexel faculty and utilize Drexel's labs, facilities, and the city of Philadelphia's many resources. Deadline: Varies per program
Saint Joe's ICC Summer Programming The goal of ICC Summer Programming is for each high school student to have an academically and socially enriching experience on Saint Joseph’s University’s campus. Participants end the summer excited about what they have learned and eager to return next year, as either an ICC program participant or Saint Joseph’s University freshman. The programs offer precollege experiences that prepare students for the next steps after high school with: experiential learning that strengthen students' academic abilities, interactions with University faculty, staff, and student leaders, the opportunity to navigate a college campus, the development of leadership skills. Temple University Summer Academy Temple Summer Academy invites students entering grades 11th -12th to experience the academics, energy, and culture of Temple University through this rigorous three week summer program. Temple Summer Academy includes 3 college credits as well as non-credit enrichment classes in leadership, language, or visual arts. Deadline: Rolling
Temple University Summer Education Camps Temple University has been offering summer camps for more than 25 years at our convenient Ambler suburban campus. This year, we are excited to bring our camps to Temple’s Main Campus and the Center City campus! Camps are available to youth between the ages of 8 and 17, during the months of June, July and August. Most camps are one week, full-day camps from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., however some shorter camps and longer camps are available. In addition, camps with a residential component are also available.
